Schedule
Bulk pickup is automatic in Celina — no city request needed.
Set-out checklist
City rules before collection day. Confirm with the city if anything looks off.
When
Carts out by 7 a.m. (pickup 7 a.m.–7 p.m.). Bulk and brush out by 7 a.m. on designated bulk-week service days.
Where
Curbside, upright, lids closed. Keep 3 ft between trash and recycle carts; clear of parked cars, mailboxes, utility poles, and landscaping; handles/wheels toward the house; 16 ft overhead clearance for the recycle cart. Bulk and bundled brush at the front curb.
Limits
Bulk up to 2 cubic yards per pickup (roughly one washing machine). Unlimited tied/bundled brush. No single bulk item over 150 lb. Cart lift capacity is about 100 lb — overloaded carts aren’t serviced, and trash outside the cart isn’t either.
Brush
Bundles max 4 ft × 2 ft and ≤50 lb. Loose brush isn’t accepted.
Not allowed
Don’t put construction debris, tires, wood (as prohibited cart waste), hazardous materials, or excessively heavy stuff in the carts. Bulk won’t take single items over 150 lb, commercial construction/remodeling debris, HHW, tires, batteries, propane tanks, extra trash bags, loose brush, or loose household debris (use a box ≤2×2×4 ft ≤50 lb). Refrigerators and freezers need a refrigerant-removal tag.
Bags
Bag all household trash inside the gray cart. Recyclables empty, clean, and dry — loose in the blue cart.
Fees and fines
City and CWD pages don’t list set-out citation dollar amounts. Missed pickup: call CWD 972-392-9300, option 2. Extra carts go through City Utility Customer Service at 972-382-3345.
