Murphy bulk trash pickup
Up to 4 cubic yards of bulky items weekly beside your carts at no extra charge — no appointment. Brush and limbs bundled and tied, pieces ≤4 ft, each item ≤50 lb. Over 4 cubic yards: get a paid quote from Republic (murphy@republicservices.com) before they’ll haul the excess. You can also drop up to 5 cubic yards once a month at CM Hinton Regional Landfill with a current Murphy utility bill and ID.

Schedule
Bulk pickup is automatic in Murphy — no city request needed.
Set-out checklist
City rules before collection day. Confirm with the city if anything looks off.
When
Carts out as early as 7 p.m. the day before; by 7 a.m. on collection day; off the curb by noon the day after. Bulk and brush stacked neatly by the cart before 7 a.m.
Where
Curbside. Don’t park cars in front of the containers. Bulky waste and bundled brush go neatly next to the carts.
Limits
Weekly bulk/brush up to 4 cubic yards free. Over 4 yards needs a paid Republic quote before they’ll collect. Landfill drop-off: up to 5 cubic yards once a month with utility bill + ID.
Brush
Brush and tree limbs bundled and tied, cut to 4-ft lengths, neatly stacked. Any single item ≤50 lb.
Not allowed
Household chemicals (including grease) and electronics don’t go in trash or recycle carts — use the biannual Clean & Green events. Wet paint doesn’t go in the garbage cart; dry paint solid (cat litter works) can go as solid waste.
Bags
Bag trash in the gray cart. Recyclables clean and dry in the green cart. Lids closed; don’t overfill.
Fees and fines
City trash/bulk pages don’t list set-out citation dollar amounts. Ordinance still requires carts off the curb by noon the day after pickup.
